Who Are You Meant to Be?

" Instead of asking children what do you want to be when you grow up, we should be asking them who are you meant to be when you grow up."
Every one of us came into this world with a mission, a purpose--our soul's purpose. I felt my purpose at a very young age, I just didn't have the experience and the words to define it, and so I couldn't say with clarity what I was supposed to do. And because I lived within my imagination and creative energies so much I tried on a ka-zillion different possibilities in my mind. Each time with the excitement that maybe this is what I'm supposed to do. You see, I knew I was supposed to do something very specific, I just never knew what it was...so I searched, and I searched.
I was no slouch at finding valuable things to do. I did many things very well. I worked hard. I consistently looked for ways to improve myself and my community. In short, I was being a very responsible and productive citizen. But I always knew there was something missing. I knew I hadn't found my true purpose--I was missing something big. So I explored some more--each time with the anticipation that perhaps this would be the work I'm here to do.
Today I don't ask myself if this is what I'm supposed to do. I just know--and I really can't put it into words much better now than as a child. But the nagging doubt and searching is gone. I know what I'm here to do. I wake up every morning excited to begin my day. I am compelled to do my work; I can't not do my work. I am so grateful everyday that I get to do my work.
How did this happen? I trusted my higher self. I learned the difference between what I want to do, what I think I should do and what others want me to do. And discovering what I want to do didn't come in a neat package (that does happen to some people, just not to me) it came as a gut feeling. So in order to step into my purpose I had to learn to trust. And trust big-time. I had to learn to tap into my higher self and turn off the rest of the world. I had to learn to just take my next step without knowing where I was going (supremely hard for someone who was always in control). I had to learn to go deep, ask for guidance, trust what I was getting and, (here's the biggest part) follow the guidance.
You already have all the answers to your life. You were born knowing what you came here to do. Spirit will guide you back to your purpose every time...but if you don't take action, spirit will wait for you to be ready. And when you're ready you will be guided to what you need in order to take each step toward and on the path to your soul purpose and Premium Dream.
I have found that the more I act on spirit, the more spirit gives me. Pretty cool isn't it? I am guided each day to do my work. I am ready. Perhaps you are ready too because you are open to things such as this Newsletter to help you learn to trust. You know that there is a better, more fulfilling life for you. You know that you have all the answers, and you might even know how to access them, but are you trusting and acting on spirit?
If you do not trust what spirit is telling you, spend this month going deeper and connecting to your higher self. Ask yourself what you need in order to trust? What do you need in order to act?
Of course a great way to do this is by Guided Writing. As you prepare to write, quiet your mind, take several deep breaths and ask spirit what you need to know in order to take action. Spirit will guide you. When you are ready, pick up your pen and write. Write without thinking, just let the words flow from your mind, down your arm and onto the paper. You will have your answers, are you ready to do it? It's your life, what are you waiting for?
