I’ve been struggling with an inner battle of control this past week.

This, as you might guess, is not a new theme in my life. However what I want to share with you is how I handled this struggle (eventually). The ‘it’ doesn’t matter in this scenario, but just in case you were wondering, I’ve been battling with figuring out this damn website.

I’m used to not knowing what I’m doing.

I’ve lived my entire life in that fuzzy zone – and I usually figure it out – Ta Dah! Not this time though. I stubbornly stayed the course and was literally driving myself and those around me crazy. Where’s the joy? Where’s the Love?

Where’s the zen, Zan?

I finally hit a point of surrender. An instant of “I can’t do this anymore . . .  Spirit, please take over!” My gut said to walk away – let it go, so I did. The next few days I ignored my laptop and just meditated and journaled and meditated and journaled – all steps to clear my thoughts and prepare myself listen to my intuition.

And you know what happened? I returned to my laptop with a clear mind. I still had no idea what I was doing, but once I logged on to the internet, a series of serendipitous connections happened – rather like connect-the-dots type of things. I found help. Some real HELP– from more than one source. Wow. Once I let go, in they rushed. How about that?

So once again I’ve learned that when I let a struggle go, Spirit comes to me in the most unpredictable ways. Some of my greatest accomplishments came from out of the blue – and the convoluted path to the final outcome always confounded even me.

I have no idea how these things happen – I don’t have to. But I do know that with the small, seemingly easy, step-by-step parts of life, All I have to do is quiet my mind and place my trust in spirit and let go. Yes it really is that easy. Sometimes you have to let go of where you are to get to where you’re going.
